The Cubesat Structure team’s purpose is to design and analyze the structure that will house
and secure the payload of the 3U CubeSat, EXACT, that is currently being developed while making sure that the final design fits well with the detector housing. The objective of this sub team is to build a 3U CubeSat structure that meets the thermal, inertial, vibrational, and other
requirements provided. The Structure team is also responsible for satisfying the structural requirements regarding the detector housing while making sure that the final design fits well with their 3U CubeSat Structure. The team creates detailed CAD models of the final structure and housing designs so a thorough thermal and structural analysis can be performed to ensure the final design meets the necessary requirements before the structures are machined.
